Show Gardens installed by Abel Landscapes
We have installed many show gardens in shows such as the Southport Flower Show and the RHS Show in Tatton Park. This page is a selection of the landscaping installations we have constructed and some information about the project.
Abel Landscaping Show Garden
We have a show garden at our head office in Liverpool which is open to our customers to come and visit. The garden was designed and constructed by Darren Moss the Managing director of Abel Landscapes. It showcases many of the different features that we can install.
The front section of the garden consists of a circular lawn with a natural cobble path going all around it leading under an arbour separating the two gardens. The lower garden has a large Koi pond with waterfall and a bridge leading to a gazebo.
Southport Flower Show Garden 2002
This project was completed in just seven days and was constructed as a joint project between Abel Landscapes and Aughton Green Landscapes.
The theme for Southport Flower Show this year was “Sculpture”.
We were awarded a gold medal for outstanding design and construction.
Southport Flower Show Garden 2006
This garden was designed and constructed in just 10 working days by the Abel team.
The theme for this year’s show was “Water”, so we decided to incorporate a large water feature with cascades and waterfalls. We also constructed a water wheel and a hexagonal gazebo with a thatched roof which created a panoramic view of the garden. This was built on top of a rockery with steps leading onto it.
This garden was awarded a silver gilt medal.
Southport Flower Show Garden 2007
This project was carried out in August 2007 with our bricklayer and the director of the company Mr Darren Moss. We were sponsored by Marshalls, so in our design, we have incorporated Marshalls Argent Smooth paving, along with the Marshalls Old Mill Brick.
The theme this year was “Music” so we have constructed a guitar within the rear garden wall, with water flowing from the sound hole into a rill with a dancing fountain. We have also created raised beds with two lounger seats surrounded by the planting.
This garden was awarded a silver gilt medal.
Southport Flower Show 2008
“Liverpool success Story” – designed by Arthur Ange & Constructed by Abel Landscapes
This year the theme for Southport Flower show was “Liverpool” due to Liverpool being the capital of culture this year. The small wildlife pond was designed in the shapes of a human Liver, this represented the pool. Liverpool first derived its name because the first people who settled here settled by a pool which came off the river Mersey.
For the middle part of the name, we designed and constructed a circle feature out of Marshalls Eclipse Granite in the shape of a Football, this represents the success that football has brought to the City of Liverpool.
For the last part of the name we designed and constructed a flower book which tells the story about the success of Liverpool.
This Garden was awarded a Silver Medal and Diarmuid Gavin really loved our Unique design of the 3D Football circle feature.
RHS Flower Show – Tatton Park 2011
This year we have helped out two fantastic landscape designers – sourcing paving and landscaping products and installing their designs. As a Marshalls Registered Member we asked Marshalls to sponsor us to help carry out this task and they kindly agreed.
“A Breath of Fresh Air”
The Respiratory Education UK garden was designed by Sally Parkinson at Gardens and Spaces and installed by Abel Landscapes. This garden was designed to be enjoyed by those with respiratory conditions or allergies and won a Bronze award.
“Grasses with Grace”
Sue Beesely at Bluebell Cottage designed this garden to highlight some of the finest and most graceful early flowering ornamental grasses. The garden won a Gold Award and we are very proud to have been involved.

What Our Customers Say
Cleared yard and laid porcelain tiles and constructed raised beds. They had a lot of other jobs on so waited a while for job to be started but am so glad I chose them. They have done a brilliant job, working very hard and clearing up every evening. Would certainly use them again.
